Summer 2004 Forecast

Summer 2004 is forecast to be warmer than 2003. The heat build up will begin slowly in the west then move across the US. This will set up August to be the hottest month of the summer this year.

The 2004 Hurricane Season will be active again. The forecast is for 10 named storms and 6 hurricanes. This is less than the 9 year average but longer lived and more intense hurricanes are expected.

For Winter 2003  Temperatures averaged a little above normal fort he US. The rub was the eastern US averaged colder.

For Summer 2003  Temperatures averaged cooler than normal and in the east wet and cool.
